5th Annual Buccaneer STORM STOMP

 
We are the Peoples of the Wind & Rain; We are the Peoples of the BAY.
We will come out in our Festal Garb & DANCE all our Troubles Away!!

  5th Annual Storm Stomp is this Saturday Night June the 12th and YOU are invited.  Music kicks off around 7:00.   Plan to dance your derriere off to the R&B/Motown stylings of C.C. Lewis and the Midnight Groovers, cool down with a well chilled Hurrican't or a Loop Current Cocktail or a frosty Bucwhacker and stomp 'n wail all night long. 
Plenty of delectable party food will be on the Feasting Tables for refueling your frenzied footwork as we dance/gather the submolecular interstitial energy hidden deep within all matter and psychically project a rhythymic force shield across the Gulf Coast to protect us from high winds and waves and transmute deepwater crude oil residue into sparkling diamond baubles fit for the ample bosoms of Neptune's daughters. Or maybe we'll just have a great party!!
No cover charge - but wear some  funky island/voodoo stompin' threads because there will be prizes for the guy and gal with the wildest outfits. (see pic/Lord help us!!) Tropical attire preferred. 
 
Bring some attitude!  Bring your loud friends! Bring your crazy friends... and everyone who needs a break from fumes, plumes and toxic tarballs!!  Time to scare those storms away for another year!!!

Buccaneer Yacht Club (BYC) was founded in 1928 as a member-run club which emphasizing sailing and racing above all other amenities. Buccaneer is the premier racing club on the gulf coast and is located on the west side of Mobile Bay, just south of downtown Mobile and north of the mouth of Dog River. Facilities include a club house, a bar, boat harbor with 2 boat lifts and dry storage facilities. The new club house has the longest continuous deck on the bay and possibly the gulf coast.

BYC is a private club for members and guests only. The Club is family oriented and the objectives of this Club are to promote sportsmanship and good fellowship and to encourage and to enjoy the use of sail boats or other pleasure craft. 

Each year Buccaneer Yacht Club hosts numerous regattas, e.g. Billy Goat Regatta, Spring Regatta, Red Cross' Summer Splash, Middle Bay Light Regatta, Fish Class Worlds Regatta, etc.

Every fourth year the Club hosts the world renowned Dauphin Island Race, which is supposed to be the biggest race in the U.S.
